The last couple of days have been kind of icky and rainy. So what do you do when the sun peeks out and creates a gorgeous, hazy evening? You go out to get ice cream at your favorite place with your favorite people, of course.
There was something about this little family date that just made me happy. We usually have a quart or two of some flavor from Trader Joe's at home, but there's something special about going out to ice cream (their amazing flavors certainly didn't hurt). We got a chance to chat and giggle like we don't usually when we're eating it while sitting on our couch. Sure, the baby got to bed a little late, but we got to get messy and sticky and smiley together and enjoy what felt like a glorious and relaxed summer night. It just made me a little more grateful for this family of mine.

ReplyDeleteI'm digging your wellies. I've been on the lookout for the perfect pair of wellies for a while now, but it always seems like they either don't look quite 'me' or they're too expensive. Maybe I'll stumble upon my wellie soulmate soon. :)
